Fourseasons Garden Centre
The Fourseasons Garden Centre, formerly Badger Carting Racetrack, consisted of a very large part of the site being excavated and constructed into Stores and Warehousing at Basement Level, with a 1,000 sqm Garden Centre directly above it. The project is completely in Malta’s ODZ.

introdution
This project replaced the former badger carting race track with a development aligned with the objectives of the Malta National Park and recreational facilities. The scheme prioritises green use, creating a low-rise building that integrates seamlessly with its landscaped surroundings.
design philosophy
Large light wells and modern openings ensure that the interiors are filled with natural light, while extensive landscaping enhances both aesthetic quality and environmental performance. The design complements the park and recreational context, reinforcing the site’s role as a public amenity.

The project was commissioned with a value of €6,000,000, reflecting both the scale of the works and the ambition to deliver a development that enhances recreational and ecological value in line with national park objectives.
The architectural approach emphasises sustainability, openness, and harmony with the landscape. By combining low-rise forms with generous light wells and green spaces, the design delivers a tranquil, inviting environment for users while respecting the site’s natural character.
