Pandora Heights
Pandora Heights is a project on the steep hill of Xemxija as one goes to Mellieha. The development involved very dangerous excavation as the area is known for its geotechnical issues. Nonetheless a successful Basement was constructed over one level, catering for a total of 38 Apartments, with most top levels having views of Xemxija Bay.

Situated at the top of Xemxija Hill, this project features an adventurous play of diagonals across the façade. The design uses innovative cladding to merge multiple balconies into a single, abstract composition, creating a dynamic and visually engaging elevation.
design philosophy
The building responds to its elevated site by emphasising three-dimensionality, ensuring the façade interacts dramatically with natural light and the surrounding landscape. Its bold geometry sets it apart within the context of Xemxija Hill while maintaining visual harmony.

The project was commissioned with a value of €2,000,000, reflecting both the technical ambition of the façade and the goal of delivering a distinctive, contemporary residential building in a highly visible location.
Interlocking diagonals and layered elements “3D-fy” the façade, creating depth, rhythm, and movement. The design transforms traditional balcony arrangements into a sculptural architectural expression that balances functionality with artistic intent.
