introdution
Located in close proximity to Zaha Hadid’s Mercury Complex, this project was designed with sensitivity to its iconic neighbour. Elegant horizontal lines were deliberately chosen to complement, rather than compete with, the Mercury development, establishing a harmonious visual dialogue between the two.
design philosophy Dynamic horizontal streamlines extend across the façade, moving sideways to create a sense of continuity along the urban frontage. Positioned as the first building encountered when approaching Paceville from Spinola Bay, it sets a refined tone for the area and contributes to a cohesive streetscape.
design philosophy
The project was commissioned with a value of €12,000,000, reflecting both the scale and strategic importance of creating a development that balances bold design with contextual sensitivity in a high-profile urban location.
The architectural approach emphasises understated elegance, using horizontality to enhance visual flow while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic. This allows the building to assert its presence without overwhelming the surrounding context or the neighbouring landmark.
